Challenge
Kerb were commissioned to design and develop a quick-play arcade game to live on Facebook and communicate the key product details of LBP2; Play, Create and Share.
What We Did
We created a game in which players could quickly create their own environment and characters featuring their Facebook friends and photographs.
Good guys, bad guys and friends who need rescuing are generated from the players unique Facebook content.
The positive impact of this personalisation helped seed the game to their social graph, with anyone’s image featuring in the game receiving a branded notification.
Naturally players took pride in their creations, posting screenshots to their photo-streams whilst comparing highscores to friends and the rest of the world.
What Happened
The game effectively communicated both the creative nature of the gameplay as well as it’s intrinsic social nature.
It was well received by the Facebook audience who enjoyed the fun mix of creative and arcade play.
