Gamestation

Gamestation
A Christmas game for hardcore gamers!

Challenge

How does a brand capture the attention of hardcore gamers and encourage them to buy games for Christmas presents?

Obviously a game is great platform, but what sort of genre would actually work?

What We Did

Babestation Alpha is a lightweight RPG set in a futuristic city where players have to impress three gorgeous GameStation girls and get invited to their exclusive Christmas party.

To achieve this players have to work out what clothes, games and chat up lines will work on the very different girls who’s personalities reflect different gaming genres.

Earning money by taking amusing jobs, players visit the Gamestation store for ‘girl advice’ from the guy behind the counter, then rest in their luxury pad before charming the three girls.

What Happened

Seeding the game brought over 1 million players from Games portals.

The average play time was nearly 13 minutes and 13% of players returned to play again.

20% of players clicked through to the Gamestation website with 100k clicking directly through to the gift selector to investigate making a Christmas purchase.

Stats from the game showed that the Sporty girl was most popular with hardcore gamers, closely followed by RPG girl!
